At Pilates by Kim, my primary objective is to have you leave your session or class feeling better than when you arrived. I believe the pursuit of health and wellness should reflect a physical practice, a state of mind, and an intentional choice.
As human beings, we are more than our muscles and bones. We are complex creatures with histories and experiences that live deep in our tissues. Every body has a story to tell, and every story deserves to be told in its own way and at its own pace. In my practice, I strive to meet the client where they are, not where society or culture thinks they should be. At KW Pilates & Movement, you don’t have to be young, and you don’t have to already be fit … you just have to show up!

At Pilates by Kim, the person is the primary focus. One size does not fit all. My aim in every session is to educate and empower my clients to embody nourishing movement practices, gain a deeper understanding of what works for them, and advocate for themselves moving forward based on that understanding.
I own and operate a home-based studio located in a quiet suburban neighborhood in Northport, AL. My studio is fully equipped with Pilates apparatus including four Reformer/Tower combos, a Cadillac, an Exo chair, and Ladder Barrel, as well as arc barrels and small props.
I am also the sole provider in my area of the MELT® Method, a revolutionary self-care system designed to help improve performance and get people out of a pain cycle. My studio is stocked with the specific tools of this method such as therapeutic balls and soft foam rollers to provide you with a whole-body approach to wellness as well as solutions for persistent pain, mobility, and balance.

Classes are a great choice for folks who thrive in a community! At Pilates by Kim, we keep class sizes small (3 per class) to deliver a client-focused, heart-centered experience every single time.
Our classes are multi-level in terms of degree of difficulty, meaning each class ranges from beginner to intermediate in the hiearchy of the Pilates repertoire. If you are new to the Pilates method, we recommend 2-5 private sessions before stepping into a group class.
Classes are offered Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9:00 am. 10:00 am, and 12:00 pm.

Private sessions are the best place to deepen your understanding of the fundamentals of Pilates. If you're new to Pilates, this is where you'll want to start! Private sessions are also an excellent resource to refine your practice and progress your skills.
The New Client Consultation ($85) includes a full movement assessment and Reformer program. At this session, the client will be evaluated based on skill level and personal goals and assessed as to whether group classes or private sessions are the best option for them.
All private sessions must be purchased and scheduled through the studio administrator. To request a one-on-one session please email me at pilatesbykim@gmail.com, call or text me at 205-534-0344, or use the button below. It will open a window to email me with your session request.
Individual Private Sessions are $75. Packages are available.
The MELT® Method is a revolutionary self-treatment system designed to help you improve performance and eliminate the mental and physical stress that accumulates from daily living, before it causes persistent pain and dysfunctions.
